DALLAS, Pa. – The Manhattanville College women's soccer team was no match for Misericordia University, ranked 19th in Division III by United Soccer Coaches and 23rd by D3soccer.com, in a MAC Freedom matchup on Saturday evening, falling by the score of 6-0 at Mangelsdorf Field.
Manhattanville (3-7-1, 0-4-0 MAC Freedom) had no answer for the relentless Cougar attack, which finished the match with a 24-3 edge in shots. Five different players scored for Misericordia (11-2-2, 4-0-0 MAC Freedom) on the day.
Sophomore
Bella Beltrami (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe-Woodbury) was busy on the day for the Valiants, turning aside four shots in the first half and four more in the second half. Misericordia's Alyssa Pojero and Alexis Benedetto combined to make two saves in the second half to preserve the shutout.
