PURCHASE, N.Y. -- Rookie keeper
Alexa Pyatsky (Garden City, N.Y./Garden City) had another standout performance Saturday afternoon, Oct. 13, for the Manhattanville College women's soccer team, but the Valiants were defeated 1-0 in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom match by King's College (Pa.) at GoValiants.com Field.
Manhattanville (2-10, 0-4 MACF) was unable to create enough offensive pressure during the match, but Pyatsky was able to keep the Valiants in the contest all day long with her double-digit save performance against the Monarchs (5-7, 1-3 MACF). When the home team was able to possess the ball in the oppositions zone, the Valiants managed 11 shots, with four landing on net.
Manhattanville hits the road for its next two matches, both against MAC Freedom opponents. The Valiants first travel to Madison, N.J., and face Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Oct. 16 with kickoff at 7:00 p.m. Four days later they will travel to Wilkes-Barre, Pa., Oct. 20, for a 3:30 p.m.-matchup with Wilkes University.
