PATCHOGUE, N.Y. -- The Manhattanville College women's tennis team lost to Skyline conference opponent, St. Joseph's College-Long Island by a score of 8-1 in a road matchup on Saturday, Oct. 2.
Manhattanville (1-4, 1-2 Skyline) was only able to take one match against St. Joseph's-L.I. (5-2, 2-1 Skyline). The win came from sophomore Renay Charley (Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union) by a score of 6-1, 6-1 at the first singles position. Charley has not lost a singles match yet this season. The team was unable to secure any other matches but senior Sunny Tonnesen (Oslo, Norway/EF Academy) lost a tough match at second singles, 6-4, 7-5.
The Valiants will look to get back in the win column against Skyline opponent Sarah Lawrence College at home on Saturday, Oct. 5, starting at 1:00 P.M.
