Ana Tittmann (Salisbury, Conn./Housatonic Valley Regional) scored her first collegiate goal, one of four Valiants to score on the afternoon as the Manhattanville College women's hockey team knocked off the Neumann University Knights 5-1 Sunday, Feb. 3, sweeping the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) weekend series from Playland Ice Casino.

Tianna Lopes (West Vancouver, British Columbia/Pacific Steelers (JWHL)) and junior
Amanda Sabia (Freehold, N.J./The Gunnery) each scored once for Manhattanville 13-6-2, 9-4-1 UCHC), while senior
Nicole Mensi (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Northwood School) scored twice, just missing a hat trick when two third period shots went off the post. Junior blue-liners
Ali Howard (Rye, N.Y./Rye) and
Zoey Pellowitz (Arlington, Va./Washington Pride (JWHL)) finished with three assists apiece for the Valiants. Jackie Schneider scored for the second straight day for Neumann (5-15, 4-9 UCHC).
Mensi scored the first goal of the game at 8:15 of the opening period on the power play, tying Sabia for the team goals lead with 14, off assists from Pellowitz and Howard. With six seconds left in the period, Tittmann netted her first goal as a Valiant, knocking home the rebound after an initial shot from Howard was blocked in front of Neumann goalie Helen Cooney.
Just shy of four minutes gone in the second, Lopes, fresh off a hat trick against the Knights on Saturday, converted on the power play, again off assists from Pellowitz and Howard. At 12:23, and on the shorthand, Sabia re-gained the team goals lead with her 15
th of the season off assists from Pellowitz and Lopes.
Less than a minute into the third period, Schneider spoiled the shutout for Manhatanville net-minder
Taylor Elias (Winnipeg, Man./Canadian International Hockey Academy). At 3:27, Mensi added her second of the day, re-tying Sabia for the team goals lead, off an assist from Tittmann. Elias finished the day stopping 20 of 21 shots.
UCHC series play continues next weekend as the Valiants welcome the Nazareth College Golden Flyers to Playland Ice Casino, with puck drop of the series opener scheduled for Friday, Feb. 8 at 7 p.m.
