HENNIKER, N.H. – The Manhattanville College field hockey team was defeated by New England College on Saturday afternoon by a 3-0 final. The Valiants fell to 1-14 on the 2021 campaign with the loss and 0-6 against NECC foes.
The Pilgrims used three first half goals to secure the win. Aviara Challinor bookended the scoring in the 9

th minute, with Giuliana Kevlin's seventh goal of the season occurring with three minutes left in the first quarter.
Florence Harrison (Melbourne, Australia/Balwyn High School) played a full 60 minutes in the cage for the Valiants, making a season-high 21 saves. The freshman goalie made seven saves in a scoreless second half to keep Manhattanville in the contest. Despite the strong outing from Harrison and the defensive unit, the Crimson and White offense was limited to just five shot attempts in the contest.
Ava Panzer (Pawling, N.Y./Pawling) led the team with three and recorded the Valiants only shot on goal, while
Felicity Williams (Glen Falls, N.Y./Glen Falls) added two shots of her own.
