PURCHASE, N.Y. – Making their first return to their home field season since the season opener, the Manhattanville College field hockey team was defeated by New England College on Sunday afternoon. The 6-0 loss moves the Valiants' record on the season to 0-11 (0-4 NECC).
The Pilgrims staked themselves to a 3-0 lead after the first quarter, with Drea Chin opening up the scoring eight minutes into the contest. Jenna Chrabolowski added a goal in the 12
th minutes before Chin scored again with three seconds left in the quarter.
The Valiants only registered three shots in the entire contest.
Meghan Gunther (Harrison, N.Y./Harrison),
Alyssa Monahan (East Fishkill, NY/John Jay High School), and
Kate Buckley (South Burlington, Vt./Rice Memorial) were each credited with a shot attempt.
Cat Morgan (Hopewell Junction, N.Y./John Jay Senior) logged a pair of saves in her full 60 minutes in net.
