FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – Meeting for the first time since the 2011 campaign, the Manhattanville College baseball team dropped 5-4 and 8-1 road decisions against the 2019 defending Skyline Conference champions Farmingdale State College Rams (2-0, 2-0 Skyline) Saturday afternoon from Rams Field in Farmingdale, New York. The Valiants (2-4, 2-3 Skyline) are now 10-9 all-time against the Rams dating back to the 2000 season.

- After a scoreless two innings, Jack Matero's (Hopewell Junction, N.Y., John Jay) third inning sacrifice fly out pushed Brian Bornkamp (North Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) across for the game's opening run for Manhattanville. The Valiants doubled its advantage in the fifth as Justin Renauto (Valhalla, N.Y./Valhalla) scored off Farmingdale State's reliever Thomas Messina wild pitch, 2-0.
- Farmingdale State responded in the bottom frame of the fifth with Vincent Napolitano' two-RBI single that scored Philip Gerard and Aidan Hutchins to knot the game at two.
- Manhattanville put together a two-run sixth inning courtesy of Jake Parisi (Centereach, N.Y./Centereach). Parisi slapped an RBI single to left field to plate Anthony Quatrochi (Fishkill, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes) home then later scored off a Matthew Careccia (Bronx, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) single to make it a 4-2 game.
- The Rams rallied in the seventh with three runs scored, including Napolitano scoring the game-winning run off Jordan Lamber's sacrifice fly out to left field, to settle the 5-4 final.

- Farmingdale State broke the scoring in the second inning with three runs scored off Manhattanville starter Sean Demo (Bloomfield, N.J./St. Peter's Prep). Peter Minneci hit a two-RBI double to right field for Bobby Pollock to score the game's initial run and Giancarlo Giacometti to score the game-winning run.
- Scoreless through six innings of play, the Valiants broke into the scoring column in the seventh inning. Parisi reached first on a fielder's choice to bring in Luke Tebolt (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) for Manhattanville's lone run of the game, 3-1.
- The Rams cracked the game open with five runs scored in the bottom of the seventh, highlighted by a two-out Pollock grand slam over the right field wall. Three batters later, Minneci hit a RBI double to settle the 8-1 victory.
