Key Moments
  • Lyndsey Shaw scored the game's initial run in the first inning off a passed ball for Farmingdale State to claim the early 1-0 lead.
  • Adding two more runs on the board in the second inning, the Rams doubled the advantage as Julianna Prescia scored off Valiant starter Charli Shinstine (Encinitas, Calif./San Dieguito Academy)'s wild pitch. Lexie Collard followed with an RBI single to push across Brooke Walker, which proved to be the game-winning run, and make it a 3-0 game.
  • Farmingdale State tacked on two additional runs in the fourth frame to extend the lead to five, 5-0.
  • Manhattanville put together a final rally in the seventh inning off Ram starter Allie Stanya. The Valiants were in scoring position courtesy of back-to-back singles by Jaclyn DeLuca (Yonkers, N.Y./Sacred Heart (H.S.)) and Giovanna Liggett (Fountain Valley, Calif./Edison). DeLuca and Liggett, respectively, scored off a Abby Tanuma (Chula Vista, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) two-RBI double to left field that settled the 5-2 final.
