PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Manhattanville College women's tennis played its first game of the spring season, Tuesday, April 13. The Valiants (0-1) fell to Skyline Conference opponent St. Joseph's College-Long Island by a score of 6-3.
The Valiants picked up two wins at doubles and one win at singles in the match. Junior
Renay Charley (Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union) and freshman
Bea Pretnar (Mohegan Lake, N.Y./Soundview Prep) picked up an 8-0 win at first doubles. Charley and Pretnar picked up wins at singles as well. Charley won 6-1, 6-1 in the first singles slot and Pretnar won 6-0, 6-1 in the second singles slot.
Manhattanville will return to action Saturday, April 24, for a home match against Skyline opponent Sarah Lawrence College. Start time is set for 1:00 P.M.
