PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Manhattanville College men's tennis team fell to Skyline Conference opponent the United States Merchant Marine Academy by a score of 6-3, Wednesday, April 14.
The Valiants (1-1) scored two wins at singles and one win at doubles in the loss.
Manhattanville's two singles wins came from the first singles and fifth singles slots. Freshman
James Hourihan (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) won at first singles 6-0, 6-0 and junior
Nick Schlapak (Dover, N.H./Dover) won 6-1, 7-5 at fifth singles. The lone doubles win came from the second doubles slot. Sophomore Luis Gonzales and junior
Dylan Crowley (Pelham, N.Y./Pelham Memorial) won 6-1.
The Crimson and White will return to the court Thursday, April 22, for a home match against conference opponent Yeshiva University. Start time is set for 4:00 P.M.
