PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Manhattanville College baseball team split its Skyline Conference Senior Day doubleheader versus the College of Mount Saint Vincent Dolphins (12-8, 8-8 Skyline) Saturday afternoon. Manhattanville claimed victory with a 5-3 decision in the opener before Mount Saint Vincent solidified the series split with a 18-9 win from Manhattanville College Baseball Field in Purchase, New York. The Valiants now move to a 10-8 mark overall and 8-7 in conference play.

- After two scoreless innings, Mount Saint Vincent broke the scoring in the third with a single run courtesy of Matt Albert's sacrifice fly out for Sean Kennedy to score the game's initial run.
- The Valiants responded immediately in the home half of the third as Anthony Pressimone's (Bronx, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) two-RBI single scored Joseph Silvestri (Bronx, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) and Matt Lynch (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) to take the 2-1 lead. Pressimone then scored off of Tyler Mandel's (Scarsdale, N.Y./Scarsdale) groundout that proved to be the game-winning run.
- The Dolphins trimmed the deficit to one in the fourth inning behind Allan Santana touching home plate off Eric Zimmermann's ground out, 3-2.
- Manhattanville answered with a two-run fourth to pad their lead to three, 5-2.
- Isidoros Bartziokas earned a leadoff walk in the seventh and later scored off Matt Albert's groundout. With two-outs on the board, Luke Shaffer (Monroe, Conn./Masuk) gathered himself and induced Blinstrub into a groundout to settle the 5-3 final.
- Shaffer fired four strikeouts in seven innings of work to earn the second-career complete game win.

- Mount Saint Vincent opened the scoring with four runs scored in the first inning off of Valiant starter Alby Ciuffetelli (Mahopac, N.Y./Yorktown). Blinstrub singled through the left side to score Matt DiNorcia for the game initial run.
- The Dolphins exploded with eight runs scored in the third which would conclude Ciuffetelli's outing. With the bases juiced and two-outs on the board, Jordan Perykasz slapped a double to left center pushing across three, including DiNorcia scoring the game-winning run, 11-0. Michael Grisanti followed with a run-scoring double to cap the third inning scoring, 12-0.
- Manhattanville battled to chip away at the Dolphins lead by putting single runs together in the third and fourth inning, respectively. The Valiants the scoring column in the third after Tebolt's RBI single advanced Lynch 90 feet. A sacrifice flyout by Tyler Viscusi (Wappingers Falls, N.Y./Roy C. Ketcham) pushed across Anthony Quatrochi (Fishkill, N.Y./Our Lady of Lourdes) in the fourth, 12-2.
- Trailing 14-2 heading into the bottom half of the fifth, the Valiants put together four runs on Dolphin starter Peter Sanderson. With Tebolt and Mandel sitting on second and third, Quatrochi slapped a two-RBI double, his third double of the day, before scoring off Jake Parisi's (Centereach, N.Y./Centereach) single, trimming the deficit eight, 14-6.
- After Mount Saint Vincent tacked on a single run in the sixth, the Valiants responded with three runs in the seventh to get in as close as six runs, 15-9.
- The Dolphins kept their foot on the gas, added three runs in the eight frame, and settled the 18-9 final.
- McGuinness fired three strikeouts (2 H, R, ER, BB) in 1.2 innings of relief.
