FARMINGDALE, N.Y. – The Manhattanville College softball team captured 11-0 and 11-0 Skyline Conference road wins over the SUNY Old Westbury Panthers (0-10, 0-10 Skyline) from Rams Field in Farmingdale, New York. With the sweep and eyeing for postseason action, the Valiants (12-3, 8-3 Skyline) now sit in third place in league standings.

- After a scoreless opening inning, Manhattanville broke the scoring ice in the second inning by exploding with eight runs scored on Panther starter Christina Hassett. Sarah Harker (Irvine, Calif./Irvine) singled through the right side for Amaya Esparza to score the game-winning run.
- With the bases loaded in the second inning, Isela Casillas (Chula Vista, Calif./Eastlake) extended her hitting streak to 14 games with a two-RBI single that scored Harker and Julia Bucci (Rye Brook, N.Y./Blind Brook), making it a 3-0 game. Harker capped the second inning scoring with a two-out two-RBI double.
- The Valiants added a single run in the third and two runs in the fourth before Charli Shinstine (Encinitas, Calif./San Dieguito Academy) fired back-to-back strikeouts, allowed Kim Basile to walk and then struck out Julianne Sucre in the fifth to settle the 11-0 run-rule final.
- Only allowing one hit and one walk, Shinstine spun a game-high 12 strikeouts to claim her fourth win, fourth complete-game and third shutout on the season.
