POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Playing their final non-conference match of the regular season, the Manhattanville College men's soccer team was defeated by Vassar on Wednesday afternoon, 1-0. With the loss, the Valiants fall to 1-4-1 on the year.
In a game that was scoreless for over 66 minutes, the Brewers capitalized on their advantage in scoring opportunities midway through the second half on a Teddy Borgos goal. The Valiants, only able to record one shot on net in the contest, were unable to generate a response.
Luis Granados (Pasadena, Calif./St. Francis) had another solid outing in net for Manhattanville, allowing just the lone goal while making five saves across the full match. Offensively, the Valiants recorded six shots as a team, with
Kendall Davis (Atlanta, Georgia/Immaculata) leading the team with two and firing the only Manhattanville shot on net.
