WATERVILLE, Maine – Closing out a pair of weekend contests, the Manhattanville College field hockey team was defeated by Thomas College on Sunday, 3-1. The Valiants fall to 0-9 on the season with the loss.
Felicity Williams (Glen Falls, N.Y./Glen Falls) represented the only Manhattanville score on the day, getting the Valiants on the board in the fourth quarter. The junior now leads Manhattanville with four goals on the year.
Florence Harrison (Melbourne, Australia/Balwyn High School) was tested all day long in net, making a season-high 11 saves in her 60 minutes of action.
Thomas would score first in the second quarter off a Britney Gregoire tally to give the Terriers a 1-0 lead into halftime. Kailee Turner added a goal in the third, and while Williams would make it a one score game again in the 49
th minutes, Gregoire's second score of the day in the 55
th minute secured the win for the Terriers.
