MADISON, N.J. – Playing their second game in as many days, the Manhattanville College field hockey team ended their weekend road trip with a 6-0 loss against Cabrini University. The loss drops the Valiants' record to 0-3 to open up the season.
The Cavaliers got on the board just 34 seconds into the contest, ultimately building up to a 4-0 lead at the half.
The Valiants fired 15 shots on the afternoon, 11 of which were on goal. Despite the new season-high shots-on-goal total, the Manhatanville offense was blanked for the second straight day.
Abbey Playle (San Jose, CA/Leigh High School) had a season high seven shot attempts (six shots-on-goal), while
Charlotte Stanwood (West Vancouver, B.C./Penticton Secondary) logged four shots on her own line.
Florence Harrison (Melbourne, Australia/Balwyn High School) recorded six saves for the second consecutive contest during her 30 minutes as netminder in the second half.
