PURCHASE, N.Y. – Looking to defend their 2022 Skyline Conference Championship, the Manhattanville College men's tennis team opened up conference play on Sunday in dominant fashion, logging a clean 9-0 sweep of Mount Saint Mary. The Valiants did not drop a single game in the victory, winning all three doubles flights by 8-0 finals while taking all six singles matchups with scores of 6-0, 6-0.
The day began with doubles play, with the duo of
Jaime Peredo (Uruapan, México/Instituto Morelos) and

Vincent Liberatore (Yonkers, N.Y./Archbishop Stepinac) followed suit with their 8-0 sweep in the No. 2 flight over Christopher Closi and J.T. Maccarrone. The top flight was the last to finish, but
Weston Goodwin (Freeport, Maine/Freeport) and
Shiel Loganadan (New York, N.Y./Mary McDowell Friends) made it a clean sweep of doubles play with their shutout over Chris Shea and Matthew Ropiak.
Singles action played out in a similar vein as the Valiants continued to roll. Liberatore was the first to take care of business in the No. 6 position, defeating Joslin 6-0, 6-0.
