PURCHASE, N.Y. – Shai Graham (Bronx, N.Y./Bronx Theatre High School) of the Manhattanville College men's track & field team opened up the outdoor season by being named the Skyline Conference Rookie of the Week.

The conference's first award release of the season included all competitions from March 20 to April 3.

Graham competed in a pair of meets this past weekend, making his outdoor debut on Saturday at the Ramapo Season Opener. The freshman ran the third leg of the 4x100 relay, helping the Valiants take tenth place with a time of 46.18 seconds. Individually, Graham would compete in the 200-meter where he clocked in with a time of 24.29 seconds.

Graham outdid himself on Sunday at USMMA's Coach Omeltchenko Invite when he posted the fastest time in the unseeded 100-meter, finishing in 12.12 seconds. He would go on to partake in another relay to close out his weekend, competing in the 4x400 that placed second with a 3:39.89 finish.

Graham and the Valiants continue the season this weekend by competing at the Osprey Open and Multi hosted by Stockton University beginning on Friday.
