FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - The Manhattanville University track and field teams were in action today competing in the Skyline Conference Championship. The Valiants competed in 21 events across the women's and men's teams to conclude their 2025 outdoor season. The Men's team took a third place finish out of four teams while the women earned a fourth place finish out of four teams. Â
Shai Graham (Bronx, N.Y./Bronx Theatre High School) locked down a first-place finish in the 100-meter finishing in 11.01 with a personal record. John Castaneda (Howell, N.J./Howell) finished in sixth with a time of 11.77, also earning himself a personal record for the event. Curtis Staie (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) concluded the 100-meter event for the Valiants with a ninth-place finish in 12.11. Â
Zach Garrant (Poughkeepsie, NY/Spackenkill High School) was the lone participant in the 100-meter hurdles taking fifth place with a time of 23.37. Â
Gramham anchored a second-place finish in the 200-meter with a time of 23.23. Â
Courtney Brown (Clarendon, Jamaica/Mount Vernon) and Aka Udeagha (Rye, N.Y./Rye) both notched personal records in the 400-meter with back-to-back finishes. Brown nabbed a fifth-place finish with a time of 52.98 and Udeagha finished sixth with a time of 53.27. Â
Brown and Garrant took part in the 400-meter hurdles with Brown taking a second-place finish securing a season best with a time of 58.37. Garrant tied down a fourth-place finish closing out with a 1:05.19 time.Â
Joey Demilio fortified two first places finishes in the 800-meter and 1500-meter. A time of 2:04.24 was earned in the 800 and 4:24.04 in the 1500-meter.Â
Three Valiant members participated in the 5000-meter taking fifth, seventh and eleventh place. Roberto Schneiger (New York, N.Y./Urban Academy Lab) fastened a fifth-place finish and a personal record finish with a time of 17.41.28. Daniel Baldessarre (Highland Mills, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) finished next clocking in at 18:15.08. Darlig Delgado (Bay Shore, N.Y./Bay Shore Senior) concluded the race for Manhattanville with a time of 18:52.32.Â
The 4x100-meter relay was the final track event of the day on the men's side with a second-place finish. Graham, Brown, Luca Perez (Somers, N.Y./Somers) and Staie tied down a 45.08 finish. Â
Garrant secured seventh place in the high jump with a 1.60m finish. Â
Perez and Castaneda closed out sixth and ninth place finishes in the long jump going 5.55m and 5.10m. Â
Matt Boggi (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) pushed for an 11.88-meter shot put throw taking sixth place to close out the events on the men's side.Â
The men's side nabbed six medals with five personal records and two season bests. The Valiants also earned six all-conference recognitions to conclude their 2025 campaign. Â
Uzoma Nweze () and Alicia Bibi (Marlborough, Mass./Marlborough) earned personal bests in the 200-meter while Jennifer Schmidt earned a season best. Nweze and Schmidt finished back-to-back in respective seventh and eigth place finishes with times of 28.86 and 29.34. Bibi finished closely behind in tenth place with a time of 30.29. Â
Schmidt safeguarded a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter with a season best of 1:06.80. Â
Adelina Rodriguez (Westbury, N.Y./Westbury) was a third-place finisher in the 800-meter clocking in at 2:55.54. Â
Jennifer Oliveros (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) had an impressive pair of distance races earning third place in the 5000-meter with a time of 23:38.23 and a fifth-place finish in the 1500-meter closing out with a time of 6:20.85.Â
Nweze, Schmidt, Bibi and Rodriguez placed third in both the 4x100m relay and the 4x400m relay. The Squad clocked a 55.13 finish in the 4x100 and a 4:44.87 finish in the 4x400.Â
Florence Harrison (Melbourne, Australia/Balwyn High School) and Gabby Billetz partook in the shot put, taking first and seventh place. Billetz locked up a personal record throwing 11.73m to take first place. Harrison nabbed a 7.98m throw to take seventh. Harrison also took a sixth-place finish in the hammer throw with a distance of 25.33m. Â
The final event the Valiants participated in was the javelin throw where Gigi Alvero (Yonkers, N.Y./St. Vincent Ferrer) launched for 19.66m closing out in fifth place. Â
The women's side competed in nine total events with five personal records, five medals and two season bests. Manhattanville also locked up one all-conference recognition to close out their 2025 campaign.
