NEW PALTZ, N.Y. – The Manhattanville Women's soccer team was bested by New Paltz, 4-0, on Saturday afternoon, on the road at South Turf Field.

The Hawks opened the scoring in the 29^th minute. Following a corner kick, Laney Schmitz found the back of the net from a Parris Burke pass. New Paltz struck again just a minute later when Mia Baldinger slotted it home for the Hawks following a pass from Kelly Licata.

Macey Girard (Branford, Conn./Branford) faced 12 shots in the first half, saving six of them with the rest missing the target. She now sits at 36 saves on the season with a 0.800 save percentage.

The Hawks would then add two more goals from Rachel Eisert in the 58^th minute, as Schmitz got one of her own in the 70^th minute to push the score to 4-0. The Valiants would turn away the remaining six shots they faced. Natalie Aracena (Bronx, N.Y./Riverdale Kingsbride Academy), Megan Leser (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining), Mia Castaneda (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck), and Nadia Parisi (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Lakeland) all gave Manhattanville chances to score but none could capitalize on them as Maddie Franklin and Madelyn Jachimiak combined for the clean sheet.
