PURCHASE, N.Y. — For the third week in a row and fourth time this season, Manhattanville's own AJ Lucas (Beacon, N.Y./Beacon) has been named the Skyline Conference Defensive Player of the Week. After a highly competitive and a remarkable battle throughout conference play thus far, Lucas has held a strong base in goal, leading the Valiants to three conference win shutouts in a row.

This past weekend the Valiants continued through competitive conference play facing Maritime College Saturday afternoon. Lucas led Manhattanville to its third straight conference win and shutout with his exemplary defensive efforts. 

Against Maritime, he tallied two saves off two shots attempted for a save percentage of 1.00 as well as holding a strong 1.38 goals against average. The 1-0 win marked the third shutout in a row for Lucas and fifth for the season. 

This season Lucas has faced 122 shots saving 53 for a save percentage of .707 with 22 goals against holding his goal against average at 1.38.
