PURCHASE, N.Y. – Olivia Cimorelli (West Deptford, N.J./The Hill School / Ironbound Elite) of the Manhattanville University women's hockey team was honored on Tuesday by the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) with selection to the conference's All-Rookie Team.
Cimorelli is the first Valiant to make the UCHC All-Rookie Team since Lena Flores earned the recognition for the 2019-20 season.
Cimorelli took the reigns as the Valiants' primary netminder for the 2024-25 season and wasted little time announcing her presence this season. The freshman played more than 928 minutes in net for Manhattanville, making 551 saves on the year with a 3.30 goals against average and a .915 save percentage. Cimorelli was twice selected as the UCHC Rookie of the Week during the year and earned a pair of Goaltender of the Week nods from the conference as well.
Standing tall against multiple ranked offenses during the course of the year, Cimorelli's save total was the fourth-most made by a Valiant netminder in a single season in program history.
The New Jersey native held opponent for two or fewer goals seven times, including a stretch of six-straight appearances from Nov. 30 to Jan. 7. She earned her first collegiate shutout on Dec. 7 against William Smith and returned to the ice in the new year on Jan. 4 with a second-straight blanking against Curry.
Cimorelli made 40 or more saves in six different games, making a season-high 47 stops on Jan. 24 against Oswego.
