6/26/2025 3:26:00 PM

PURCHASE, N.Y. – For the third year in a row, the Manhattanville University women's hockey team had 21 student-athletes named to the United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) All-Academic Team, the conference announced earlier this week.
The Valiants were the third-most represented team by the conference. In total, the UCHC honored 87 women's hockey student-athletes on the All-Academic Team for the 2024-25 academic year.

Eligibility for the UCHC All-Academic Team is open to student-athletes that completed at least one academic year at their current institution while holding a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher for both terms of the 2024-25 academic year.

Twelve of Manhattanville's honorees are returners to previous UCHC All-Academic Teams, all of whom were all recognized last year as well. Additionally, eight of the Valiants' first-time recipients are freshmen, earning the accolade in their first year at Manhattanville.

Manhattanville had four student-athletes—Grace Genest (Wake Forest, N.C./The Gunnery (Conn.)), Jada Mackinnon (Barrington, Nova Scotia, Canada/King's Edgehill School), Danielle Stadler (Zurich, Switzerland/Kantonsschule Wiedikon / GCK Lions) and Taylor Willoughby (Camrose, Alberta, Canada/John Maland)—earn a perfect 4.0 GPA across the fall 2024 and spring 2025 semesters, the most on any UCHC team this year. Additionally, Genest was one of seven student-athletes in the conference this year to become a five-time recipient of the All-Academic award, having earned the recognition in each of her five years as a Valiant.

Seniors Jewells Austin (Bethlehem, Conn./Nonnewaug High School), Ciara Dauer (Winchester, Mass./Worcester Academy) and Annie Niedermier (Calgary, Alberta, Canada/Athol Murray College of Notre Dame) each earned their fourth appointments to the All-Academic Team to cap off their undergraduate careers. Three other players—Catrina Chinetti (Hyde Park, Mass./Boston Latin Academy / East Coast Wizards), Lillee Dougherty (Wakefield, R.I./Portsmouth Abbey School) and Willoughby—were named to the team for a third time.
