PURCHASE, N.Y. – For the second time this season, Esther Ramos (Queens, N.Y./Forest Hills) of the Manhattanville University women's basketball team has been selected as the Skyline Conference Player of the Week, for the week ending Jan. 25.

The senior forward continued Manhattanville's best start to conference play in program history as the Valiants improved to 13-0 with two more wins last week. Ramos shot 53 percent from the floor as she put up 39 points, adding 15 rebounds, six steals and a pair of assists. On Wednesday, Ramos posted her second-straight game with 20-plus points as she scored 21 to lead Manhattanville past Mount Saint Vincent, shooting 56 percent with eight rebounds and a season-high four steals. She followed up that performance in Saturday's triumph over Farmingdale with 18 points, seven boards, two steals and an assist.

Entering the final week of January, Ramos leads Manhattanville in points (16.6) and rebounds (7.0) per game.

Ramos and the Valiants are back in action on Wednesday, hosting Sarah Lawrence at 6 p.m.
