DeBrocky Named MBWA Division II/III Honorable Mention

2/17/2026 11:39:00 AM

NEW YORK, N.Y. – After shooting a lights-out 82 percent from the field and an equally-staggering 80 percent on three point tries, Julie DeBrocky (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) of the Manhattanville University women's basketball team was named a Met Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) Division II/III Honorable Mention for the week ending Feb. 15.

DeBrocky is the fourth Valiant recipient to earn the accolade this season alongside Esther Ramos (Queens, N.Y./Forest Hills) (Dec. 16, Jan. 28) and Kathleen O'Mara (Huntington, N.Y./Walt Whitman) (Jan. 13).

The senior was as accurate as they come in Manhattanville's 2-0 week, scoring 40 total points with nine rebounds, seven assists, four steals and a block. After being held scoreless last weekend against Saint Joseph's Long Island, DeBrocky erupted for a season-high 23 in Tuesday's win over Purchase, shooting 8-of-9 from the floor and hitting seven three pointers, matching the program's single-game record for the second time this season. She added seven rebounds, two steals, a block and a season-high four assists. She continued to drain her shots on Saturday at Old Westbury, going 6-of-8 overall and 5-of-7 from deep to the tune of 17 points with two rebounds, three more assists and a pair of takeaways.

DeBrocky and the Valiants open the final week of the regular season on Wednesday in a first-place clash at Merchant Marine at 7 p.m.
