Baseball Powers Through for Sweep over Farmingdale

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. - Manhattanville baseball added two more conference wins to its 2026 campaign with the Monday afternoon sweep over Farmingdale, 9-3, and 8-7. The Valiants improve to 15-4 (5-1 SKY) while the Rams fall to 6-9 (0-4 SKY). 

GAME ONE
Anthony Peterson (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J./Hasbrouck Heights) went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, a run, and a walk to get the team going in game one. Peterson sent a rocket to left centerfield for a two-RBI stand-up triple in the first inning. He was also the only Valiant to have a multi-hit game through the first seven. 
Jack Moeller (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) also fought to get two RBIs while crossing the plate twice on his own. Moeller's sole hit of the game was a two-run shot to right-center field to put his team up 9-0 in the third. Gregory Tashik (Midland Park, N.J./Midland Park Jr./Sr.) scored three runs on the day, putting himself on base with a double and wearing the ball twice.
Anthony Mezzaucella (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle), Logan Albeto, and Griffin White (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Arlington) all grabbed one run while sending one home. Chris Goohs (Nesconset, N.Y./Smithtown H.S. East) sent his lone RBI home off a double out to left field in the first. 
Ryan Costa (Bayport, N.Y./Bayport Blue-Point) rises back up above .500 on the year with his third win on the mound. Costa allowed two earned runs on eight hits with four strikeouts and one walk through all 7.0 innings. 

FIRST INNING - MANHATTANVILLE 4, FSC 0 
Mezzaucella got the ball rolling for the Valiants with a groundout down the left side, scoring Tashik. Peterson approached the plate with two on, sending the ball deep into left centerfield to score White and Alberto with a two-RBI triple.
Goohs wrapped the first inning with a double to score Peterson. 

SECOND INNING - MANHATTANVILLE 7, FSC 0
The scoring opportunities began with Alberto taking a four-pitch walk with the bases loaded. White sent a sac fly into centerfield to score Moeller before Mezzaucella scored on a wild pitch. 

THIRD INNING - MANHATTANVILLE 9, FSC 0 
Moeller hit his third long ball of the year over the right-center wall, bringing Tashik home with him. 

FOURTH INNING - MANHATTANVILLE 9, FSC 1
The home team avoided the shutout with an RBI single into left-center.

FIFTH INNING - MANHATTANVILLE 9, FSC 3
The Rams added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth with one sac fly and a throwing error by the shortstop. 


GAME TWO
Jack Lally (Ogdensburg, N.J./Wallkill Valley) earned his third win on the bump while Max Krom (Southington, Conn./Southington) recorded his first save for the Valiants to secure the sweep over Farmingdale. Lally entered the game in the fourth inning, going 4.1 innings, allowing three runs on five hits with two strikeouts. Krom came in for the final three outs, allowing no hits, getting the job done.

Marco Clara (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, two walks, and one run. Griffin White (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Arlington) also recorded two hits in the nine innings with two RBIs. Dylan Roberts (Warwick, R.I./Pilgrim) sent himself around with a long ball sent over the left field wall.
Jack Moeller (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac), Jacob Oakley (Medford, N.Y./Patchogue-Medford), and Anthony Peterson (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J./Hasbrouck Heights) all recorded an RBI in game two, while Moeller added a run to his stats.
Anthony Mezzaucella (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) went 2-for-3 today with a single and a double, stealing two bases and scoring two runs.

FIRST INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 3, FSC 0
Clara doubled into right center, scoring two to get the Valiants on the board early. White sent Clara home with a single to center field.

SECOND INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 4, FSC 0
Roberts sent a solo shot out over the left field wall to add one more to the board.  

THIRD INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 5, FSC 0
White singled out to left field to score Mezzaucella easily from third.

FOURTH INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 5, FSC 3
The Rams added three runs to the board off three RBI singles.

SIXTH INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 6, FSC 5
Oakley had an RBI bunt single down the third base line, scoring Chris Goohs (Nesconset, N.Y./Smithtown H.S. East) from third.

Farmingdale sent a two-run homer to centerfield to put the game within one.

SEVENTH INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 6, FSC 6
The home team tied the ballgame with an RBI single.

EIGHTH INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 8, FSC 6
The Valiants grabbed the two security runs needed with an RBI double from Moeller and a bases-loaded walk after Peterson battled through a seven-pitch at bat.

Up Next – The Valiants return home tomorrow to face Stevens at 3:30 PM.
