PURCHASE, N.Y. – With his 17 career wins, Ryan McCann (Medford, N.Y./Longwood) ties Alex Basso (2011-14) and Mike Seminara (2002-05) for the winningest pitcher in program history with the 9-3 start to the day. The Valiants (24-8, 11-3 SKY) held off the Dolphins' (9-20, 5-7 SKY) comeback attempt for a 13-10 victory, securing the sweep.
GAME ONE
McCann shoved through seven innings for his seventh win of the year, remaining untouched. In 96 pitches, the senior allowed three runs, gave one free bag, and struck out six.
Seven Valiants recorded an RBI in game one, two with two RBI. Griffin White (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Arlington) made the start at second base in the five-hole, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run scored coming in the sixth inning to blow open the lead. Marco Clara (Syosset, N.Y./Syosset) recorded a single in addition to two walks for two RBI.

With the bases loaded, Clara fought for the full count walk to score Dylan Roberts (Warwick, R.I./Pilgrim).
SECOND INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 3, UMSV 0
Alex Exarchakis (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) grounded out for an RBI, scoring Anthony Peterson (Hasbrouck Heights, N.J./Hasbrouck Heights). Travis Szober (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) walked, before a single from Roberts sent him home.
THIRD INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 3, UMSV 1
UMSV scored its first run of the game on a double into right field.
FOURTH INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 3, UMSV 3
The Dolphins tied the game with a two-run single into right-center with the bases loaded.
FIFTH INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 5, UMSV 3
White lead off the inning with a single on the second pitch, advancing to second on a wild pitch and scoring on a single from Clara.
Alex Enjem (Derby, Conn./Derby) pinch ran for Clara, standing on second base after the senior advanced on a throwing error by the left fielder. Szober sent his first triple of the day into right-center to score Enjem.
SIXTH INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 9, UMSV 3
With bases loaded, White singled down the third base line, scoring Anthony Mezzaucella (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) and Roberts. Goohs drew a walk after seven pitches to send home Alberto before the final run of game one was scored. Peterson hit into a SAC fly to score Anthony Izzetti.
GAME TWO
Alex Exarchakis (Monroe, N.Y./Monroe Woodbury) went to battle for the Valiants in game two, going 4-for-6 with three RBI and three runs scored, including a solo-shot over the right field wall. Exarchakis also hustled out for two stolen bases, the most in a single game for the Junior.
Travis Szober (Lake Ronkonkoma, N.Y./Sachem North) recorded four RBI while crossing home plate twice for himself. After his first colligate triple in game one of the day, the freshman sent his second back into right-center.
Max Krom (Southington, Conn./Southington) earned the win on the bump while Aidan Tumbleson (Manalapan, N.J./Manalapan) earned his first save of the year.
FIRST INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 6, UMSV 0
With the bases loaded, Logan Alberto (East Patchogue, N.Y./Bellport Senior) got things going with a walk to score Exarchakis. Griffin White (Poughkeepsie, N.Y./Arlington) singled to the second baseman to score two and advance the third runner. Szober grounded into a fielder's choice, scoring Alberto. Exarchakis saw action for the second time this inning with a single to left field to score two more runs to wrap up the six-run inning.
SECOND INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 9, UMSV 2
UMSV scored two runs on a double.
The Valiants added on three runs with a Szober triple into right center.
THIRD INNING – MANHATTANMVILLE 10, UMSV 3
UMSV added on one run with a wild pitch.
Alberto singled through the left side to score Exarchakis.
FIFTH INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 11, UMSV 9
The Dolphins added on six runs to put the game within one run.
Exarchakis sent his second homer of the year into the trees in right field.
SIXTH INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 12, UMSV 10
UMSV tallied on one more run with a single into right field.
SEVENTH INNING – MANHATTANVILLE 13, UMSV 10
Chris Goohs (Nesconset, N.Y./Smithtown H.S. East) doubled into left field to score Dylan Roberts (Warwick, R.I./Pilgrim) for the final run of the game.
