GREENWOOD, Ind. – Closing out recognitions from the organization for the 2025-26 academic year, Shai Graham (Bronx, N.Y./Bronx Theatre High School), Gabrielle Billetz (Clarksburg, Mass./Hoosac Valley) and Lilly Savnik (Mastic, N.Y./William Floyd) were each selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District® Cross Country/Track & Field Teams as announced earlier this week. The Valiants have had 38 student-athletes in total named to respective CSC Academic All-District® Teams this year.

This is Billetz' second-straight CSC academic recognition, while both Savnik and Graham make their first appearances as Academic All-District® selections.

Academic eligibility for the Academic All-District® Cross Country/Track & Field teams was consistent with those of the previous CSC teams this year. Student-athletes were eligible if they were at least sophomores both academically and athletically with a minimum 3.50 cumulative grade point average.

Athletically, nominees needed to further hold a top-50 individual performance at the 2025 NCAA regionals in cross country or hold a top-50 regional ranking in a single event in track & field per TFRRS. All three Valiants posted results that ranked amongst the top in the Niagara Region of NCAA Division III this year.

Graham concluded his undergraduate career with another phenomenal year running the sprint events for Manhattanville his senior season. The Bronx speedster cracked into the regional rankings with his performance in the 100-meter dash at the Skyline Conference Championship in April, taking gold in the event with a program-record time of 10.90 seconds. Graham further shined throughout the conference championship meet, taking second in the 200-meter with a time of 22.66 seconds, the second-fastest time in school history, while contributing to a second-place finish in the 4x100 relay (44.66 seconds) and a third-place in the 4x400 (3:37.38). The English major Graham completed his studies and graduated in May.

Savnik's qualifying performance also came at the conference championship as the junior shined in her first year of competition in the javelin. Savnik took first place in the event with a throw of 28.55 meters. Her score ranked 28th in the region at season's end in the event. An English education major, Savnik was inducted into the Chi Alpha Sigma national collegiate athlete honor society in the spring in further recognition of her academic successes.

Billetz posted three qualifying scores across both the indoor and outdoor seasons. During the winter, the junior logged a throw of 11.49 meters in the shot put at January's Wesleyan Indoor Invitational. Finishing fourth in the field at the meet, Billetz' score ended the indoor campaign 23rd in the Niagara Region. As the weather warmed, Billetz continued to heat up with two more qualifying efforts. At the Wilton Wright Invitational in April, her 38.38 meter performance in the discus was good for fifth in the event and finished the season as the 14th-best score in the region. For her grand finale, Billetz took second at the Skyline Championships with an 11.42 meter throw in the shot put, finishing the year with the 24th-best performance in the Niagara Region. Like Savnik, Billetz, a radiologic technology major, joined the ranks of Chi Alpha Sigma this spring.
