KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Manhattanville University men's basketball team was recognized by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) on Wednesday as the Valiants were announced as a recipient of the 2025-26 NACA Team Academic Excellence Award while further having six student-athletes named to the organization's Honors Court for individual academic successes.
Manhattanville was amongst the more than 400 programs nationwide to be acknowledged by the NABC as Team Academic Excellence Award recipients for completing the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. The Valiants as a team posted a 3.261 team GPA during the past academic year.
Andrew Melillo (Staten Island, N.Y./Monsignor Farrell),
Isiah Middleton (Miami, Fla./Westminster Christian),
Neven Noor (Pomona, N.Y./Albertus Magnus),
John Ranaghan (Pearl River, N.Y./Pearl River),
Andrew Saint-Louis (Norwalk, Conn./Notre Dame Fairfield) and
Curtis Staie (Adams, N.Y./South Jefferson) were each appointed to the NABC Honors Court, among the more than 2,300 total honorees in the nation. The Honors Court was open to juniors, seniors and graduate students that finished the academic year with cumulative GPAs of 3.2 or higher.
"College basketball student-athletes do incredible things on the court, but their achievements in the classroom are equally worthy of celebration," said NABC Executive Director Craig Robinson. "Education is one of the NABC's core values, and the hundreds of programs and thousands of athletes represented on these awards reinforce the commitment to academic success that exists across all levels of our sport."
