SCHENECTADY, N.Y. – Senior Mike Strauss (Newark, Del./Wilmington Charter) scored a pair of goals, but the Union led 11-0 after the first half and went on to win 16-4 over the Valiants in a non-conference game on Saturday afternoon.

Besides Strauss's two tallies, junior Joe Daly (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) and sophomore Bill Motherway (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) also scored for the Valiants. Sophomore netminder Dom Poletto (Engelwood, Colo./Regis Jesuit) made 14 saves, but the Dutchmen peppered the young netminder with 30 shots on target.

Leading Union was Rob Santangelo with five points on four goals and an assists. The Dutchmen split the time in goal with three netminders. Sean Aaron made just one save to begin the game and was credited with the win.

Manhattanville (1-2, 0-0 MAC) will head down to Baltimore, Maryland to take on Wheaton on Wednesday afternoon.
