POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Christopher Toffoli scored six second half goals, as the Vassar Brewers scored nine times in the second half to defeat the Manhattanville men's lacrosse team in a damp non-conference game at Weinberg Field.

Sophomore Bill Motherway (Kings Park, N.Y./Kings Park) led the Valiants with a pair of goals and senior James Frommert (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) scored once, as the Valiants held a 3-1 lead midway through the third quarter, until the brewers scored the next nine goals.

The Brewers outshot the Valiants 44-16, but sophomore goalie Dom Poletto (Engelwood, Colo./Regis Jesuit) made 11 saves and was key to the low-scoring first half.

Manhattanville (3-10, 1-7 MAC) will take on MAC foe DeSales University on Thursday afternoon at 4 p.m. from GoValiants.com Field.
