PURCHASE, N.Y. – Freshman Brendan Kuntz (Ridgewood, N.J./Ridgewood) scored a pair of goals, but DeSales University scored five straight tallies to come back and defeat the Manhattanville men's lacrosse team, 6-4, in Middle Atlantic Conference action on Thursday afternoon at GoValiants.com Field.

Along with the two goals from Kuntz, junior Joe Daly (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) tallied twice and added an assist for a game-high three points. Sophomore netminder Dom Poletto (Engelwood, Colo./Regis Jesuit) made six saves, as the Bulldogs took 30 shots on the day.

Kuntz gave the Valiants an early lead with his third of the year 3:14 into the first quarter, but the Bulldogs scored the next five goals to take a 5-1 lead midway through the third quarter. Manhattanville scored three of the final four goals to climb back into the contest, but the team could find the net only once in the final quarter.

Manhattanville (3-11, 1-8 MAC) will take on King's (Pa.) College on Wednesday evening in the final home game of the season starting at 4 p.m. at GoValiants.com Field.
