ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Manhattanville men's lacrosse team concluded their 2011 season with a 13-5 defeat at the hands of Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon in a MAC contest at Arnold Field.

Sophomore Will Sahakian (Natick, Mass./Rivers School) led the team with three goals, while senior Kyle Ekstrom (Newtown, Conn./Canterbury) and junior Joe Daly (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) scored single goals. Senior Mike Strauss (Newark, Del./Wilmington Charter) had four assists, while classmate James Frommert (Webster, N.Y./Webster Thomas) had one assist to end their careers at Manhattanville. Sophomore Dom Poletto (Engelwood, Colo./Regis Jesuit) made 11 saves, but came up on the short end.

Eight different Flying Dutchmen scored in the contest, with Malik Pedroso leading the way with three goals and two assist. Ryan Leonard also had five points with two goals and three assist. Jordan Mayr, Ian Schmid and Bryan Cooney all finished with three points in the victory. Bryan Lockward and Ethan Hilberg split time in goal and made 13 saves.

The valiants took an early 2-0 lead before the Dutch scored the next 10 straight goals. In the third, Daly netted his 16th of the season to cut the deficit to 10-3. Ekstrom scored to end the quarter and Sahakian added a man-up goal in the final quarter.

Manhattanville (3-12, 1-9 MAC) will end the season and lose five players to graduation.
