2018 ITA Northeast Regional Championship Results

GENEVA, N.Y. – The Manhattanville College women's tennis team competed in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Northeast Regional Championships this past weekend – Saturday, Sept. 22 and Sunday, Sept. 23 – hosted by Hobart and William Smith Colleges.

Junior Izzy Lovejoy (Madison, Conn./Forman School) and freshmen Renay Charley (Redondo Beach, Calif./Redondo Union) and Samantha Altman (Carmel, N.Y./Carmel) were the Valiants representatives who competed in the event.In singles action, Charley and Lovejoy both dropped matches to representatives of the Ithaca College Bombers. Charley fell 6-4, 6-3 to Ithaca senior Kathryn Shafer, while Lovejoy was outlasted by Sara Steinberg 6-0, 6-4. In doubles action, Charley and Altman fell 8-4 to the Union College Dutchmen team of Megan Brown and Samantha Siegel.

The Valiants return to the court Thursday, Sept. 27, for a head-to-head match beginning at 4 p.m. against the William Paterson University Pioneers.
