PURCHASE, N.Y. – Kaci Pierce (East Lyme, Conn./East Lyme) of the Manhattanville College women's lacrosse team earned Skyline Conference accolades today as the Valiant attacker was named the conference's Rookie of the Week, for the week ending March 12.

Pierce wasted no time breaking out to begin her collegiate career as she scored six goals in the Valiants' opening pair of games as Manhattanville went 2-0 to begin the season. In her debut game, Pierce scored a pair of goals against Pfeiffer on Thursday as part of a 16-6 Valiant victory. The rookie had more in store on Saturday as she found the back of the net four times in a 10-7 win at Guilford. Pierce added seven ground balls over the course of the week, with four coming in the win over Guilford, while causing one turnover.

Pierce will look to build off her strong week as the Valiants are back in action tomorrow at 5 p.m. to host Ramapo.
