GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators unveiled the 2024 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer team on Tuesday with five Manhattanville University student-athletes earning a spot on this year's team. Graduate student
Megan Leser (Ossining, N.Y./Ossining), senior
Mia Castaneda (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck), and juniors
Macey Girard (Branford, Conn./Branford),
Jenna Moraglia (Seaford, N.Y./Seaford) and
Olivia Watson (Walden, N.Y./Valley Central) were recognized by CSC for their academic successes in conjunction with their performances on the field this past season.
Student-athletes with academic and athletic standing of sophomore or greater were eligible for this year's Academic All-District® Team. Candidates needed to also have a cumulative grade point average of a 3.50 or above while either playing in 90 percent of their team's games or starting in 66 percent of their institution's contests.
Leser makes her second Academic All-District® Team after previously earning the accolade as a junior in 2022. The early childhood and childhood education major played in all 17 games of her graduate season, making the start in 12. Leser finished the season with eight points, scoring three times and handing out a pair of assists.
Castaneda finished her undergraduate career and second season as a Valiant with selection to the Skyline All-Conference First Team. A business administration major, Castaneda led the Valiants with 27 points in the 2024 campaign. The senior scored 12 goals and added three assists, playing in all 17 games with 15 starts.
Girard makes her second Academic All-District® Team in as many years of eligibility as the junior had another phenomenal season in goal. A psychology and studio art major, Girard started all 17 games as the Valiants' primary netminder. The junior finished 6-7-3 overall with a 1.31 goals-against average, making 56 saves over the course of the season.
Another Academic All-District® returner, Moraglia was honored by CSC for a second-straight season as well. The junior sport studies major saw action in all 17 games during the season, getting starting nods as a midfielder eight times. Moraglia posted seven total points on the season with two goals and three assists.
Rounding out this year's accolades for women's soccer, Watson makes her CSC debut after seeing her role on the team drastically increase her junior season. Another sport studies major, Watson played a career-high 1,128 minutes as she played in all 17 games and set a new personal benchmark with 10 starts.

The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Soccer Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
