Colleen MacNeil Earns All-ECAC Team Distinction

DANBURY, Conn. – Colleen MacNeil (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) of the Manhattanville University women's lacrosse team was selected to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) 2024 Division III All-ECAC Team, the organization announced earlier today.

MacNeil is the first Valiant recognized by the ECAC on the organization's postseason awards since 2018 when Carly Weiss made her second-straight appearance. MacNeil becomes the fourth different Valiant to earn ECAC recognition and the fifth overall honoree in the program's history.

The senior captain made an immeasurable impact on the field this season for the Valiants. After missing her junior year due to injury after transferring to Manhattanville, MacNeil was a Skyline All-Conference First Team selection as she led the team in every statistical category. The Mahopac native set new program single-season records with 146 draw controls and 90 ground balls. MacNeil was also the team leader in caused turnovers with 49 while piloting the offense with 75 total points, scoring 48 goals and collecting 27 assists.

MacNeil reached 150 career points on April 24 against Farmingdale as part of a four-point effort. She went to collect her 100th goal of her career in the season=finale against Merchant Marine on April 27.

The ECAC (Eastern College Athletic Conference) is an eighty-five-year-old organization with well over 200 member schools across all three NCAA Divisions - I, II and III.
