PATCHOGUE, N.Y. – Manhattanville women's lacrosse prepares for its first consecutive playoff appearances since the 2022=23 seasons. The No. 5-seeded Valiants will make the trip down to Patchogue to face off against No. 4 St. Joseph's Long Island tomorrow, Saturday, April 25, at 3 PM.

HOW WE GOT HERE
After bouncing back last season from missing the 2024 run, in the 2025 season the Valiants went 3-5 in the Skyline during the regular season. This season, the team improved to 4-4 with wins coming over Mount Saint Vincent, Maritime, Purchase, and Old Westbury, outscoring their opponents 70-20.
Kaci Pierce (Niantic, Conn./East Lyme) has led the offense with 39 goals, followed close behind by Pietra Cabral (Mineola, N.Y./Mineola) with 29 goals and 19 assists. Ashley Glass (Mahopac, N.Y./Lakeland) and Kathleen O'Mara (Huntington, N.Y./Walt Whitman) surpassed 20 goals apiece, sending back 25 and 24 sequentially. Jocelyn Mazo (Mamaroneck, N.Y./Mamaroneck) continues to be a well-rounded threat with 58 draw controls and a near-even 13 goals to 11 assists.
Sydney Natale (Greenwich, Conn./Greenwich), Mazo, and Mariah Stephens (Mission Viejo, Calif./Mission Viejo) hold down the defense for the Valiants. Natale has caused 15 turnovers while grabbing 16 draw controls and 22 groundballs while Stephens mirrors her numbers in addition to having 18 caused turnovers.
The freshman duo of Mary Kopf (Congers, N.Y./Clarkstown High School North) and Maura Spruck (Hawthorne, N.Y./Westlake High School) has combined for six with 109 saves on a .434 save percentage between the posts.
The Golden Eagles wrapped the 2026 campaign with a Skyline record of 6-2, their losses coming at the hands of Merchant Marine and Mount Saint Mary.
LAST TIME OUT
The Valiants hosted the Golden Eagles during the regular season just ten days before the postseason matchup, where SJLI left victorious 19-14.
