PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Valiants of the Week for the stretch of Oct 27 through Nov 1 have been named Hannah Doherty of field hockey and Roberto Velasquez-Osorio (Monticello, N.Y./Monticello) representing men's soccer.

MEN'S SOCCER - ROBERTO VELASQUEZ-OSORIO 

In the Skyline Championship First Round, Velasquez-Osorio was part of both Valiants' goals against Farmingdale State. Producing one goal himself to put the home team on the board, the junior also set up a scoring opportunity for Kenneth Suqui (Sleepy Hollow, N.Y./Sleepy Hollow) just under one minute later.

He wraps up his junior year with nine starts, six goals, three assists, fifteen points, and a .571 shot on goal percentage.  

FIELD HOCKEY – HANNAH DOHERTY

Doherty took the field with the rest of her team three times during the week. In the last two regular-season games, the junior stood firm, stopping 15 shots and averaging a .750 save percentage while finishing the year 1-1 at home.

In the Atlantic East Conference Semifinal matchup at Marywood, Doherty stopped a season high 14, with a .778 save percentage.

She wraps up her junior season 6-12 with 1063.37 minutes, 109 saves, and a .703 save percentage.
