GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) officially revealed the 2025 Academic All-District® Women's Volleyball Teams on Tuesday as the Manhattanville University women's volleyball team had three student-athletes—senior
Samantha Andriola (Garden City South, N.Y./Sacred Heart Academy) and juniors
Kayla Jennings (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Lakeland) and
Alana Rivera Torres (Guaynabo, Puerto Rico/Colegio Marista de Guaynabo)—earning appointment to this year's team.
Andriola earns her second Academic All-District® selection after previously earning the accolade last season, while Jennings and Rivera Torres make their debuts. Additionally, Jennings was selected to advance to the Academic All-America® ballot, marking the fourth-straight year a member of Manhattanville Women's Volleyball has appeared on the ballot.
Eligibility for Academic All-District® was open to student-athletes with both athletic and academic standing of sophomore or greater. Candidates needed to hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or above, while playing in 90 percent of their institution's matches or started in 66 percent of the team's contests.
Andriola played in 27 matches her senior season, totaling 88 sets on the floor. Splitting time as one of the Valiants' two primary setters, Andriola finished second on the team with 330 assists while contributing 61 kills, 81 digs, 18 blocks and 38 aces. She cracked the top five on the team in digs, blocks and aces, serving as a versatile piece for yet another successful Valiant campaign. Andriola supplied 10 or more assists in 18 contests, with a 22-assist effort in the team's season-opening win over WestConn and another 20 coming versus Sarah Lawrence in the Skyline Conference Championship semifinals.
Jennings took over as the Valiants' primary libero for her junior season and excelled in her new role, logging 507 digs for the fourth-highest single-season total in program history. The junior was a mainstay in the Valiant lineup, playing in all 28 matches and appearing in 93 of the team's 95 sets during the season. Beyond providing 5.45 digs per set, Jennings also led the Valiants on the service line with a team-high 56 aces and added 87 assists and six kills to her campaign. She reached double-digits in digs in all but three matches during the year and eclipsed 30 on three occasions, setting a new career-high with 34 against Drew on Nov. 8.
Rivera Torres served as the other head of Manhattanville's two-headed setting machine alongside Andriola, finishing the year with 557 assists across 94 sets in 28 matches. The junior became the 8
th member of the Valiants' 1000 assist club back in October and ended the season ranked 4
th all-time with 1,295 for her career. Rivera Torres further supplied 47 aces, 196 digs and six kills, earning four double-doubles during the season. She helped Manhattanville secure a fourth-straight Skyline Conference title with a 23 assist, 13 dig double-double in the championship finals against Saint Joseph's Long Island on Nov. 15, adding six aces to round out her dominant effort.
Academic All-America® voting will take place from Dec. 16 through Dec. 23, with All-America® honorees to be announced on Jan. 13, 2026.
