RAMAPO, N.J. – Matt Boggi (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) and Gabrielle Billetz (Clarksburg, Mass./Hoosac Valley) set new program records to lead the way in a series of impressive Valiant showings at the Ramapo Track & Field Invitational over the weekend.

Boggi moved atop Manhattanville's record book in the outdoor shot put, recording a distance of 12.18 meters, surpassing Joel Rosenberg's previous top mark of 12.06 meters from 2012. The throw was a 0.45 meter improvement over Boggi's previous top throw and secured him an eighth-place finish amongst the field of 29.

On the women's side, Billetz broke her own record in the discus. After setting the program's top mark of 36.63 meters a year ago, Billetz shattered that mark with a throw of 40.91 meters. The sophomore took first place in the event against 29 total competitors, with Billetz' effort going 2.28 meters further than second place.

Both Boggi and Billetz added strong efforts in their other throwing events, with Boggi placing 14th in the discus with a mark of 35.25 meters, while Billetz added a second-place finish in the shot put with a distance of 11.06 meters.

The field events were a continued source of success for Manhattanville over the course of the two-day meet.
