Anthony Mezzaucella (New Rochelle, N.Y./New Rochelle) and utilityman
Ryan Osso (Eastchester, N.Y./Eastchester) of Manhattanville University baseball were named to the Skyline All-Conference Second Team following their play on the diamond in the 2025 season.
It is the first All-Skyline recognitions for both players.
Mezzaucella had a breakout sophomore season, serving as Manhattanville's top hitter on the year. Mezzaucella hit a team-high .410 with a .560 slugging percentage and a 1.030 OPS, both also Manhattanville bests amongst all qualified hitters. The native of New Rochelle appeared in 35 games and made 27 starts in 2025, tallying 41 base hits. His 30 runs scored, 11 doubles and 18 steals all marked team highs, with his 23 RBI ranking third on the team. Mezzaucella's batting averaged climbed .179 points from his freshman campaign while also showing a solid glove in the outfield with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage on 56 opportunities. He finished eighth in the conference in batting average while cracking the top-20 in slugging, on-base percentage, OPS, doubles and steals.
Osso split time in the infield and on the mound his senior season, appearing in 32 total games. Moving between first, second and third base, Osso hit .403, his best average across his two seasons at Manhattanville. A product of Eastchester, Osso's .493 on-base percentage was Manhattanville's highest mark amongst all qualified batters, collecting 24 hits while drawing eight walks and three hit-by-pitches. He drove in 14 and scored 12 runs of his own, swiping nine bags on the basepaths. On the rubber, Osso pitched to a 3-0 record across eight appearances, tossing 33.2 innings. His 21 strikeouts were the second-most by the Valiant rotation, while his seven inning shutout of Yeshiva on Mar. 28 was one of just two complete game shutouts thrown by Manhattanville this season.
The Valiants made the Skyline Conference Championship Tournament for a second-straight season, falling to eventual conference champs Farmingdale in the first round.
