PURCHASE, N.Y. – Following the conclusion of their 2025 campaign, three student-athletes of the Manhattanville University softball team have been named National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Division III All-Region III selections.

Samantha Walsh (Spring City, Pa./Owen J Roberts) was selected to the All-Region First Team, while Emily Mottoshiski (Craryville, N.Y./Taconic Hills) was named to the Second Team and Isabella Tansey (San Diego, Calif./University City) earned Third Team distinctions.

Walsh earns her second-consecutive NFCA after being voted to the All-Region Second Team last season. The senior second baseman capped off her stellar collegiate career with a .381 batting average across 42 games, starting in each contest for Manhattanville. Walsh became Manhattanville's all-time run leader as she crossed home plate 47 times in 2025, finishing her four-year Valiant tenure with 165 for her career. Sporting a career-high .636 slugging percentage, Walsh hit ten doubles, two triples and six home runs to drive in 36, all of which were personal highs. Walsh also toed the rubber for six games, pitching to a 4-0 record with a 1.17 ERA in 24 innings of work, including a five-inning no-hitter against Sarah Lawrence on April 30.

Mottoshiski makes her NFCA All-Region debut at the conclusion of her senior campaign. Moving atop the Valiant rotation this year, Mottoshiski went 17-7 with a 1.72 ERA in 24 games, pitching 151 innings. Her ERA was a whole run better than her previous best set last season as she saw her highest workload of her career in 2025. Mottoshiski tossed 17 complete games and fired four shutouts with a pair of no-hitters. She also recorded three saves in relief, tied for the highest single-season total in program history. Mottoshiski also was amongst the top hitters on the team, batting a Manhattanville-high .460 on the season with a .714 slugging percentage and a .545 on-base percentage. She scored 24 runs and drove in 19, hitting six doubles, two triples and a pair of homers.

Tansey also earned her first NFCA honors this year as she served as the Valiants' primary left fielder as a junior. Tansey finished with a .375 batting average as she played in a career-high 38 games, making 37 starts. Her 36 hits set a new personal best as she hit 11 doubles and blasted four home runs. Tansey scored 29 runs and drove in 19 at the top of the Manhattanville lineup and stole 14 bases, all of which marked new single-season highs.
