PURCHASE, N.Y. – After recording career-best weeks, senior Corey Popowcer and sophomore Drita Tinaj (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) earn the title of Valiants of the Week, Sept. 15, 2025.

WOMEN'S SOCCER - DRITA TINAJ

Sophomore midfielder Drita Tinaj (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./Yorktown) spearheaded the Valiants' offensive attack this week.

She notched her first career hat trick in the Skyline opener against Yeshiva, securing the team's first conference win of the 2025 season.

Tinaj finished the match with six points, registering six shots, four on target, and delivering the game-winning goal for the first time in her collegiate career.

Earlier in the week, she added her second assist of the season during the non-conference victory over Brooklyn College on Sept. 10.

The Yorktown Heights, N.Y. native was also named Skyline Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Sept. 15, 2025.

MEN'S GOLF – COREY POPOWCER

In the first outing of the season, Purchase College Invitational, Popowcer helped the Valiants secure a third-place team finish, tying for ninth individually with a round of 88 (+16).

He then set the pace at the Saint Joseph's Long Island Invitational, earning first overall with a career-best score of 72 (+1). The Florida native carded a 39 (+4) on the front nine before rallying with four birdies on the back nine to finish with an impressive 33 (-3).

Behind his strong performance, the Valiants claimed second place overall in the SJLI Invitational.

The Parkland, Fla native received recognition from the Skyline Conference this week, earning the title of Golf Player of the Week, Sept. 15, 2025
