PURCHASE, N.Y. – After a dominant start to the season for women's volleyball and a strong week for men's cross country, the Valiants of the week for Sept. 2 – Sept. 8 have been selected.
Loren Hernandez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico/American Military Academy)
Hernandez set a new program record for women's volleyball with 1,001 career kills. Playing a key role in the start of the 2025 campaign, Hernandez has recorded 57 kills averaging 4.07 per set, 48 digs averaging 3.43 per set, 85 attacks, 64 total points, and six service aces.
Joey DeMilio (White Plains, N.Y./White Plains)
The senior led the way for the Valiants in the 6000 M race at the Purchase College Invitational this past weekend, Sept. 6. DeMilio earned 40th overall, posting a time of 22:23.7, just under two minutes off his personal best 20:46.3 recorded Sept. 1, 2023.
