PURCHASE, N.Y. — In the first week of fall play, two Valiant student-athletes have earned a spot as the Skyline Conference's weekly honorable mentions. Valiants from men's soccer and women's volleyball were recognized for their efforts.
Skyline Conference Men's Soccer Weekly Report – September 2
Nico Del Vescovo (Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive) -
Del Vescovo delivered the game-winning goal after a long and evenly fought battle against Penn State Abington, seventeen minutes into the second half. The goal led the Valiants to victory for their first win of the season.
Skyline Conference Women's Volleyball Weekly Report – September 2
Loren Hernandez (Toa Baja, Puerto Rico/American Military Academy) -
In a single match, Hernandez racked up 18 kills, and 10 digs, averaging six kills a set for a double-double. Hernandez also secured two blocks defensively, helping lead the Valiants to their first win of the season.
