PURCHASE, N.Y. — A pair of Manhattanville student-athletes, Trevor Kolar (South Huntington, N.Y./Walt Whitman) from Men's Volleyball and Julie DeBrocky (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) from Women's Basketball, have been named to the Skyline Conference Honorable Mention Report as announced by the conference.
Skyline Conference Men's Volleyball Weekly Report – Feb. 15th
Trevor Kolar (South Huntington, N.Y./Walt Whitman)
The freshman earned his first recognition by the conference after an outstanding weekend of Tri-Match play against No. 18 Buffalo State and Misericordia University. First against No. 18 Buffalo State, he tallied eight kills throughout the match, as well as collecting four digs, 21 total attacks, and two blocks for a total of 9.5 points.
Later that day, facing Misericordia, he again demonstrated his unwavering determination again adding four kills and one service ace, while also tallying 11 total attacks, two digs, and one block for six total points. He ended the weekend with a whopping 12 kills, six digs, three blocks, and one service ace over the course of the two games.
Skyline Conference Women's Basketball Weekly Report – Feb. 15th
Julie DeBrocky (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac)
Continuing on a memorable season for DeBrocky, she once again demonstrated dominance and skill all around the court, finishing the week with a total of 40 total points, nine rebounds, seven assists, and four steals, including a season-high of 23 points against Purchase.
First against Purchase, she shot 8-9 for a shooting percentage of 89%, as well as going 7-8 in three-pointers for a three-point percentage of 88%. Along with incredible shooting, she also tallied seven defensive rebounds, four assists, one block, and two steals for a new season-high of 23 points.
Later that week, against Old Westbury, she continued her successful performance, shooting 6-8 for a shooting percentage of 75% and going 5-7 for three-pointers. Paired with her incredible offensive performance, she also clocked two defensive rebounds, three assists, and two steals, totaling 17 points.
