PURCHASE, N.Y. — One member of the Manhattanville men's volleyball team has been named to the Skyline Conference Honorable Mention report after the opening weekend of the team's 2026 campaign. 

Skyline Conference Men's Volleyball Weekly Report — February 2nd 
Kyle Simmons (Elmont, N.Y./Elmont Memorial)- 

Opening the 2026 season, Simmons showed out on the Valiants side of the net, collecting a grand total of 34 kills, 21 digs, eight blocks, and five aces throughout the weekend, as well as a double-double during the team's first match against Curry College. 

Facing Curry College he racked up 13 kills, two service aces, ten digs for a double-double, while also adding 38 total attacks, for a grand total of 16.5 points throughout the duration of the game, with three total blocks all coming from block assists. 

The next day at the John Jay Tri-Match Simmons continued his streak of intensive play throughout the two matches, again collecting impressive tallies. First against Wilkes, earning eight kills, six digs, and 31 total attacks while adding three block assists again for a total of 9.5 points. 

Later that day, facing John Jay he continued his grand performance gathering 13 kills, 30 total attacks, one assists and three service aces, while also adding five digs, two block assists for two total blocks and 17 points.

Simmons and the rest of the Manhattanville men's volleyball team will return to the court at home on Thursday February 5th as they face Pratt Institute at 7 PM.
