PURCHASE, N.Y. – Esther Ramos (Queens, N.Y./Forest Hills) of the Manhattanville University women's basketball team joined an elite class of Valiant greats on Monday, becoming only the fourth player in program history to be named to the D3hoops.com All-Region Team. Ramos was voted to the Region 3 Second Team following her dominant senior season on the hardwood.
Ramos joins Carey Hickey (2010-11), Alyson Caiazzo (2014-15) and Julianna Kascic (2022-23) as the fourth player in Manhattanville women's basketball history to make a D3hoops All-Region team, will all four being voted on the Second Team in their respective years of recognition. It is also Ramos' second total All-Region accolade after she was named a Met Basketball Writers Association Honorable Mention a season ago.
Ramos put up 15.2 points per game this year, a four-point improvement from her previous career-high set a season ago. Shooting .493, the Queens native also pulled down 6.6 rebounds per contest to lead the Valiants in both categories. Ramos added 47 assists, 46 steals and four blocks over the course of the year.
Ramos scored 10 or more points in all but four games in the 2025-26 season as the Valiants made their third appearance in the Skyline Conference Championship Finals in the last four years. She eclipsed 20 points seven times, led by a career-high 32 in Manhattanville's Skyline semifinal victory over Farmingdale.
Ramos repeated as a Skyline All-Conference First Team selection this year, marking her second All-Conference nod of her career. Ramos departs having played in 94 games in her Valiant career with 51 starts, all in the last two seasons. She finishes her career with 824 points, 461 rebounds, 129 assists, 103 steals, a .462 field goal percentage, a .393 three-point percentage and a .655 clip at the free throw line.
