Esther Ramos Selected to MBWA All-Met Second Team

4/13/2026 9:44:00 PM

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Esther Ramos (Queens, N.Y./Forest Hills) of the Manhattanville University women's basketball team was named to the Met Basketball Writers Association (MBWA) All-Met Division III Second Team, the organization announced earlier today.

It is Ramos' second time being recognized by the MBWA with a year-end accolade after being named an All-Met Honorable Mention a season ago. She becomes the sixth recipient in program history to be named to an All-Met Team proper, joining Julianna Kascic (Second Team, 2022-23), Sarah Coutu (Third Team, 2019-20), Alyson Caiazzo (Third Team, 2014-15; First Team, 2012-13) and Carey Hickey (First Team, 2010-11).

A Skyline All-Conference First Team selection and D3Hoops.com Region 3 Second Team appointee for the 2025-26 campaign, Ramos capped off her collegiate career with a dominant senior season. The Queens native improved her scoring output from her junior year by more than four points per game, scoring 15.2 per contest and finishing the year with 411 points to lead the Valiants.

Ramos led Manhattanville as well with her .493 field goal percentage and 6.6 rebounds per game. The forward also provided 47 assists, 46 steals and four blocks as one of Manhattanville's leading playmakers all over the floor.

Ramos posted three double-doubles on the season and reached double-figures offensively 23 times, scoring 20 or more on seven occasions. She delivered the best offensive performance of her career in the Skyline Conference Semifinal against Farmingdale on Feb. 27 with 32 points, tied for the ninth-most in a single game in program history.

Thanks in no small part to Ramos' contributions, the Valiants made their third appearance in the Skyline Conference Championship final in the last four years this season, ending the year with a 21-6 record and going 18-2 in conference play.

Ramos and the whole of the 2025-26 All-Met teams will be honored on April 23 at the 93rd annual MBWA Haggerty Awards dinner at the Sleepy Hollow Hotel & Conference Center in Tarrytown, N.Y. The event can be live streamed HERE through the MBWA website.
