PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Manhattanville University men's tennis team swept the Skyline Conference weekly awards for the second time in the last three weeks, as Thomas Jouanneau (Luneville, France/Lycee Arago) was named Skyline Player of the Week while Elouan Charretteur (Fontainebleau, France/Lycée International Francois Premier 1er) was selected as Rookie of the Week, for the week ending Apr. 12.

It is the second time both Valiants have earned the recognition, previously sweeping the awards on Mar. 30.

Graduate student Jouanneau continued his strong performance at the top of the Valiant lineup as he posted a 3-1 mark in doubles last week across the top two flights while going 2-1 in No. 1 singles. His lone losses came against Division I Fordham while picking up No. 1 doubles victories against Skyline foes Sarah Lawrence and Purchase and adding a No. 2 duos win over Bard. Jouanneau also won both of his No. 1 singles tilts against Division III opposition last week against Bard and Purchase.

Charretteur was just as successful against DIII opponents, winning all three of his singles flights against Sarah Lawrence, Bard and Purchase. His 6-4, 6-2 solos win against the Gryphons on Tuesday marked his first action in No. 1s before blanking both Bard and Purchase 6-0, 6-0 in No. 3s. He equaled his success in doubles play with a 6-0 win in No. 2s against Sarah Lawrence and a 6-2 victory against Bard's top tandem.
